Because the locals stayed with unspoiled nature and its long-lasting powerful effect on people, ski lifts and large cable cars were never established in the Valley of Lüsen. Because of that, Lüsen is an oasis of quiet and recreation in the silence of the untouched landscape, especially in winter. And so Lüsen became a pioneer in the Alps for gentle winter sport: after all snowshoe hiking and winter walks, but also cross country skiing and tobogganing.

The directional snowshoe hiking trails with wonderful views of the Dolomites lead over the Lüsen Alps or on hiking trails in the nature park at the end of the valley to the alpine huts that offer refreshments in the winter. Through snowy alpine meadows and coniferous forests past snow covered rustic huts and feeding troughs for dear and chamois snowshoe- and snow hikers leave their traces in deep snowy white gold like in a winter wonderland.
