Because the locals stayed with unspoiled nature and its long-lasting powerful effect on people, ski lifts and large cable cars were never established in the Valley of Lüsen. Because of that, Lüsen is an oasis of quiet and recreation in the silence of the untouched landscape, especially in winter. And so Lüsen became a pioneer in the Alps for gentle winter sport: after all snowshoe hiking and winter walks, but also cross country skiing and tobogganing.

- The Lüsen Alp mountain pasture and the alpine pastures at the foot of the Sass Putia are ideal for unforgettable winter hikes. Whether on foot or with snowshoes, the Dolomites are also a special experience in winter and sustainable winter and snowshoe hiking is very easy here.
- Alone or with one of our guided hikes you can easily and quickly reach the desired starting point with the hiking bus and leave the car behind.
- The gentle, hilly landscape around Lüsen has to offer some peaks that are easy to climb: the Astjoch, the Campill, the Glittner Joch, just to name a few of them.
- Enjoy the winter peace on the snow-covered alpine pasture and realize how beneficial the solitude can be, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the body recharges more and more energy and can come to rest.
- ATTENTION: Even though the Lüsen Alps pastures with their soft peaks are largely avalanche-safe, extreme caution is still advised. Before every tour in open terrain and off the secured paths inform yourself about the current avalanche situation and also always carry your emergency equipment!
Daily updated information can be found, for example, in the provincial avalanche report.
- SAFE FUN ON SLEGDE: our toboggan trails are all natural and are used amongst others also as hiking trails. Depending on use and weather conditions, unexpected hazards may appear. Take care of your safety and the safety of others. Adjust the speed and driving style to your ability and the visibility. The internationally recognised FIS rules of conduct are valid also on these toboggan trails. Good equipment, snow boots with good soles, stable sledges and a protective helmet also for adults are strongly recommended.
