Excursion to the farms on the Mountain of Lüsen (Lüsen-Berg)

A round trip to the typical farms

Length:
8 km
Difference in height uphill:
670 m
Path number:
14 - 3
Break:
Tulperhof
die-luesen-berg-wanderung
We leave from the Hotel Rosental and follow the itinerary to the natural swimming pond (mar 14), where we turn right shortly after, to get to a mountain path uphill. Now we cross 2 times the asphalted road and get to the farm Pliedererhof (1150 m), from where we follow upwards the access road of the farm, along the current of a small brook. It leads us to the Hotel Tulperhof (1627 m), which is located in a fabulous position for enjoying the panorama of the whole valley. (It’s also the starting position for parachutists) From the farm Tulper, we walk slightly uphill on the road in eastern direction to the farm Heroler (1643 m - highest point of the itinerary). The way back follows the mark number 3, which goes down on the mountain road with numerous hairpin turns through the woods, until we get to the street, which we have to cross, reaching the farm Löchler. Then we follow the street, turning left at the hairpine turn and follow the mark 3 until we reach the brook Gfasebach, which we follow downwards to Lüsen. Variant Lüsen Alps: next to the farm Heroler, we follow the forestry road, which goes uphill through the woods. We reach the alpine zone Tulper Gamis (1806 m). The path (mark 3) leads us along the alpine biotope on our left, to the path Griablsteig, which goes in eastern direction to the old mountain hut Höllealm (1821 m) and then either to Kreuzwiese, or if we turn right, in southern direction downhill to the refuge Bacheralm (1810 m). Afterwards we follow the path (mark 5), which sometimes goes steep downhill, to get to the abandoned farm Gargitt (1531 m). Now we follow the track, which will lead us to the forestry road, then we turn left to the Hotel Lüsnerhof and after that, we walk downwards on the old street of the village, until we are in Lüsen. Height metres 890, 10 km, 6 hrs.
