The demanding mountain hikes and tours to the peaks around Lüsen are found primarily in the nature park Puez-Geisler and in the Dolomites. Adventure-packed summit hikes, some with via ferratas and tours around mountain groups, are the ideal destinations for experienced climbers.

The summit tour to the Sass Putia (2,875 m), the landmark of Lüsen, is highly recommended. It is one of the most magnificent view points in the Dolomites. The short and easy via ferrata at the last altitude meters to the summit is secured with wire ropes and therefore a special summit adventure for families. Odle di Eores, Monte Fana, the summit of Plose and Monte Muro, as well as the Herrensteig and the via ferrata Günther-Messner are further worthwhile mountain hikes in Lüsen and the Dolomites.

The mountain hikes in the territory of the chamois to the peaks Geislerspitzen are a little bit demanding and require stamina. We start at the parking lot Russiskreuz (1729 m) and follow the itinerary as described in the excursion Aferer Geisler - mount Tullen, until we arrive to the junction next to the grass slope. Now we follow the path (mark 32) which goes downwards to the right, leading us to the panorama-point Kofelwiese (1952 m) After a long walk on the path “Unterer Herrensteig” in eastern direction under the southern slope of the Aferer Geisler, we reach the path (mark 32 A) (2060 m) which leads us upwards on the left side. We follow the rocky path “Oberer Herrensteig” in western direction to the alp Kofelalm. There we follow the path (mark GM) to the saddle Furtscheller on the north-western side. Once we are at the junction with mark 32 we follow the path upwards until we get to the parking lot Russiskreuz.
