The starting point of the itinerary is located at Halsl (1868 m). From here we walk in north-western direction following the mark 4 through the woods to the meadows Gampenwiesen (2008 m) where we turn right and hike further to the ditch Schnatzgraben and uphill to the ski lift, which we follow uphill until we arrive at the mountain rescue station. Now we walk in north-eastern direction over the mountain crest (following the mark 7) to the peak Big Pfannspitz (2545 m), where we stop for a few minutes, enjoying the fabulous view. Afterwards we descend in south-eastern direction to the ski lift area until we reach the path (mark 6) which will lead us to the alpine hut Rossalm (2200 m). The next path (mark 17 A) leads us back to the ditch Schnatzgraben from where we hike on the path (mark 4) back to the starting point.
