Castle Rodenegg – Hiking next to the ravine of the Rienz – even with uncertain weather a wonderful experience. After passing the farm Kreuzplonhof we turn right and walk upwards to the chapel Kreuzstöckl (984 m). Here we can visit the famous Castle Rodenegg, a medieval structure with its fabulous frescos (Guided tours available at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.) Finally we walk back on the same way. Here we turn left and follow the patz and after that a forestry road to Viums (890 m) From here we walk shortly in western, then in southern direction. The itinerary leads us through a Biotope to the village Natz. Once we are in the town centre we have to walk in eastern direction, until we arrive to the ravine of Rienz and to the bridge.
